TSG in association with the Sri Lankan Seafood Association has commenced a Fisheries Improvement Plan (FIP), under the guidance of Sustainable Fisheries Partnership (SFP). Our participation in this initiative aims to enhance the management and sustainability efforts of the Sri Lankan tuna industry. TSG is in the process of working with the National Fisheries Institute (NFI) to develop Sri Lankan Blue Swimming Crab as an FIP. This effort will ensure the sustainability of these resources for future generations.

TSG is firmly committed to corporate responsibility in Sri Lanka. We are involved in projects that ensure the sustainable management and utilization of the fishery resources, so as to create long term jobs and improve the livelihood of the Sri Lankan people. TSG has been recognized for our efforts in corporate responsibility by the International Labor Organization (ILO) and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP). In collaboration with the ILO and AusAid, TSG have established crab processing plants in war affected northern Sri Lanka. The processing plants enable some of the most affected people from the 30 year conflict to gain employment and help rebuild their communities.


TSG is a proud member of the Ethical Trading Initiative (ETI). The purpose of the ETI is to promote ethical conditions for workers through the implementation of codes of labor practice based on national law and international labor standards.TSG is committed to embracing and implementing the “ETI Base Code” and to undertaking activities intended to promote respect for workers ‘rights. We aim to achieve real improvements in working conditions within our supply chain. TSG has successfully completed A Semta 4- Pillar social audit.ations.
